TESTIMONIALS

Luke Whatley-Bigg

A tenacious young videographer with a unique creative flair raring to go. Luke arrived at our head office and got straight on with the task at hand - capturing a road test and vehicle health check of a special former Brunei Royal Family Mercedes SL. Luke's approach to filming was efficient, meticulous and energetic, allowing us to get the filming completed without impacting the day to day activity of our craftsmen. The content was turned around in a matter of days, supplied in formats appropriate for different platforms. We are delighted with the work Luke has carried out and look forward to a long and fruitful working relationship.

- The SL Shop, Mercedes-Benz Motor Cars

Luke's photographs, in one word, amazing. From my point of view, they are exactly what we had hoped for. I was extremely impressed with Luke's professionalism, the way he took control of each location, and then interpreted our brief and added his own touches to produce such great photography. I also hope that this is the start of a working relationship between Brooklands Museum and yourself, as we would not hesitate to work with Luke again.

"Luke and Tania created a stunning, high-quality ‘behind the scenes’ highlight film for a celebrity fashion shoot with Surrey Frills. Together, they perfectly captured the essence of the day, working diligently and patiently during a very busy day. Luke is an extremely professional and highly skilled videographer with a relaxed and positive attitude. The team at Surrey Frills all felt at total ease being in front of the camera, a crucial aspect of effective corporate video production. Both Luke and Tania's input into the creative direction of the film, making meaningful suggestions and building a narrative that excites and engages the viewer. We were really impressed with the turnaround of the edit and are delighted with the results. We will be using Luke Whatley-Bigg again and would wholeheartedly recommend them!"

BRADLEY BURGESS GARDEN DESIGN | KITCHEN GARDEN | SECRET GARDEN | PRAIRIE GARDEN | WALLED GARDEN

WWW.BRADLEYBURGESSDESIGN.COM W A T C H T H E T R A N S F O R M A T I O N. With multiple entrances to the garden, we’ve created focal points throughout the scheme. The sculpture looks absolutely sensational, aptly named ‘The Witness’ - she’s nestled in amongst the dreamlike planting, casting her gaze over the space, you’ll notice she lures you into the garden, her presence provokes thought & conversation whilst also creating a point of interest. We strive for perfection, we like to create magical spaces, surpassing client expectations, we like to play with narratives, our gardens are designed to look great throughout the seasons and whilst! ‘We play by the rules… we also like to break the mould’. Whilst designing this garden, I knew colour was going to be important. I wanted a real succession of it from April to November. The importance of detail and variety in the planting is a considered process. From bulbs to blossom on fruit trees and then moves to perennials, which start off bright and zesty with golden Achilleas and Euphorbias, moving into shifts, such as the Echinacea pallida with the Liatris pycnostachya. This garden is playful and inviting. It draws you in and provides somewhere to wonder round, to think, eat, relax and garden. It’s primary purpose is to be a kitchen garden, the green house sits beautifully within the planting and hard landscaping, it’s hard to believe it’s only a year old. Whilst we’ve adhered to the Arts and Crafts architectural style of the estate, there are contemporary elements which add a twist. This project include a 32 meter reclaimed brick wall, water features, sculpture, formal and informal borders which combine the styles of both TSS and Piet Oudolf. Nearly 300 plant species were incorporated into this garden we designed & installed during 2021. We used a combination of planting styles, blended planting and blocks planting, to create this prairie border. Much like conducting an Orchestra, timing is everything. Flowering periods, heights, soil preparation, colour pallets and the list goes on. We love creating gardens that slowly reveal themselves, spaces that intrigue the mind and lead you on a journey. Using strategically placed hedging formations, enables this! Landscape and Interior Designer. Creating timeless gardens with a twist. Designing & installing gardens in Surrey Sussex Berkshire Hampshire & beyond Having featured in: House & Garden | The English Garden | FT how to spend it | Country Life | Surrey Life | SGD | The Telegraph | Berkshire Life | Design Curial | Hotel Designs | The Times … it’s time to describe my passion of great Architecture, Interior and Garden Design. Rather than write about me (which I dislike) I’ve inserted, a recent Q&A interview between myself and the luxury outdoor furniture company OXENWOOD. Oxenwood discuss using furniture in design with Bradley Burgess, who knows a thing or two about designing both indoor and outdoor spaces! Bradley Burgess formed his design company Bradley Burgess Design, after having worked in the property and design industries for over 16 years. Bradley Burgess Design shares Oxenwood’s passion for quality and timeless style, as well as a talent for maximising entertaining space by making the most of exterior areas. Why do you think gardens & outdoor spaces are so important?  Human beings inherently need a place to belong and to feel a sense of ease. Studies have shown that gardens enhance both our mental and physical wellbeing, so keeping this in mind, we always design gardens and interiors which create a sense of place. A well-designed garden should be a fusion of purpose, style and function. Why is it so important that gardens & interiors work together? The garden can be a seamless extension of the indoor living space if design is considered and both work in harmony - repetition of materials and furniture from inside to outside creates a cohesive space. Choosing the right furniture for each scheme is intrinsic to the overall feel. Ideally, it should reflect the interior and vice versa. How do you utilise garden furniture in your designs? Creating areas in which to lounge, entertain or enjoy some solitude is critical to any garden or outdoor space. The development of varying styles of outdoor furniture is so exciting - it allows us to enhance the style or feel of each space and to create zones, and focal points, within a space. Furniture can be used to create zones or areas intended for particular activities both indoor and outdoor, creating different spaces to use throughout the day. Whether that be an informal seating arrangement, an area to dine or entertain, somewhere to lounge by a pool or a secluded spot. What role do you think furniture plays in the home & garden? When choosing pieces of furniture, we look at how they lend themselves to the ergonomics of the intended purpose. You only have to look at Oxenwood's tables and realise, this is where memories are created.
